HISTORY - Originally the mansion belonged to a distinguished diplomatic family. Built in 1943, the house is a replica of a mansion located in Mexico City, where the plans for its later construction in Quito where acquired. The actual owner is an Italian geologist who, after working in many countries, was amazed by the beauty of Ecuador and the house so, he decided to buy it and turn it into a cozy hostal.
CULTURAL PATRIMONY - The architecture style of the mansion is both Spanish and colonial, common to all Latin America. The Mansion was adapted as a hostal in 1993, even though its architectonic characteristics remain exactly the same until today. In 1998, it was named Quito's Cultural Patrimony for its traditional style and beauty.
